SMARS
Video, experimental Sci-fi, 9"00, 2015
The work is a metaphor for a closed and automated system. SMARS revisits the theme of SF by transforming a cot into a space capsule. Eva Medin is a visual artist and video maker who trained at the Pavillon Bosio in Monaco and at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She develops a fictional universe marked by an offbeat view of reality. At the crossroads between disciplines, she elaborates a narrative and contemplative writing where the relationship to space and the experience of the spectator have a predominant place. In a grammar of cinema and a vocabulary of the cliché, the vignette or the cartoon, she brings into play observations and memories that are as much personal as collective memory, and revisits recurring themes of popular culture with irony.
